Would you read Alan Wake's books?
In the video game, Alan Wake is a talented crime thrillers writer from Bright Falls, Washington.

If you got the chance, would you read his books?

in the game of Alan wake, I have been mostly attracted towards the game and the story than any specific writing from Alan wake himself. I have to admit I still didn't grasp the story of the game yet.
yes.

It's on the list now, thanks.
I don't have the patience for books. Long drawn out text pisses me off.
Oh, you mean digital books, I am not one for reading fiction, OP.:badluck:

yeah because they would probably be cursed with the darkness, and then i would have to fight shadow men and eldritch creatures and become a champion of light.

Not necessarily digital books.

I mean, if Alan Wake was real, and wrote crime thriller books, would you read them?

Why don't you like Stephen King? You don't like his style?
How could you not like Stephen King... I mean I have never met the man, but the books are amazing... I am sure I much different kind of human being then that guy, I mean some things I might not have a lot in common, but it's a huge inspiration to take up writing in my lifetime, even if my writing sucks.

I really want to see Mr. Harrigan's Phone, that was a really fun short story.

Anyways, there is no Alan Wake, and I am not playing the game.

He's the Remedy version of Stephen King, so his books must be pretty good.

Dunno for that guy you quoted, but personaly i've been an avid reader of King/Bachmann. Grew the f*ck out of it, partially because (almost) every story contain 1) a wise man of authority, decision making skills and a huge heart, with a tragic past that made him very wise 2) a child that, while being the hero, needs protection by the aforementionned wise guy. Sprinkle "the shinning" over it and you'll have more or less half the skeleton of King's book.

My favs are his books that does not go with the/his usual canvas : Misery, the whole bunch of novels, the stories where he write about writer's problems and blocages (self-insert much, but still : intresting to dwelve into), the take on superposed dimensions that is Insomnia, Rose Madder, etc.
