I have a solution for pop in of objects in video games.
Distance from the player based world creation of video games need to make a return....

Nothing should be based on the screen space the object takes up.

Because the user would have to play at 16k to even enjoy the view distance of the game without noticing pop in.

Don't even think about playing below 1080p with 120 field of view (pop in would be like 1 m away)

It's even worse if you play at a field of view greater than 85 horizontal... (Pop in is insane at 120 field of view, it's literally like 10 m in front of you you will notice a tree coming into the view distance it's ridiculous!)

They need to stop console-fying video games.....

Go play borderlands 2 at 720p and 120 field of view then go play borderlands 3 with the same resolution and field of view and the game that you will notice pop in is borderlands 3....

For some reason (being 'raised' by pixel games of the 80s and 90s), I'm actually usually very happy with whatever graphics games offer me by default *knocks on wood*.

I think there is a way to adjust this kind of stuff user side in the game's files.

Sometimes...not all the time
