Have you read any religious text? In every interpretaiton god is, but respect the free will of children having promised never against after the great flood. This world is a test for our living souls according to both christrian and catholoic thinking.

If god is real, would they be upset about shooting missiles at children and starving them?

Well you see i read that there's evidence that our ancestors carved up children to eat just like we do with animals.

So I'm sure "God" is well aware of our behaviour, Yet 2000 years a go he sent his son to us, And we nailed the bugger to a cross.

It NEVER was about god being real. If you think the passages are about god being real then you must believe Cinderella and Snow White are supposed to be real. Why not ask if Cinderella, Snow White and Bambi were real questions? It NEVER was about any of it being real, including god.
