how long would it take someone to become feral
and how would that occur in the first place?

I mean it depends on the age of the person, a child would forget their previous life much faster than an adult. If I was 5 years old I could totally be integrated into monkey society, but now? Nah, I would rather die than live without a modern bathroom.

Take the phone from any kid.
Have someone gets lost in the woods then they end up surviving in said woods and forget language and stuff but they would have to be pretty isolated

Losing all your support systems and being homeless would do it. I wasn't far away from being feral myself. Thankfully though some people cared and I was saved from living under bridges and teaching rats how to commit crime. A lot of homeless people become feral especially if they have really bad mental illness.
Well, according to my calculations...

This is true governments have done experiments where they literally wipe someone's entire identity away and all their ability to act normally
Unplug the internet for 20 minutes, mission accomplished.
Hmm, I’m not sure. :monsterthinking:

Sometimes, I like to skitter aboot my lair whilst makin’ weird clickin’ and chitterin’ noises, pretendin’ to be some spooky lil’ critter, does dat count? :donpug:
Do you want to do the COVID lock down experiment again?

24 hours to 4 months, just depends on mental fortitude to keep routines going more than anything else.

Lazy people, 24 hrs, sticklers for routine 4 months to unbreakable.

i didn't do it the first time. what was it like?
Dina Sanichar was the boy found living among a pack of wolves at the age of six and whom remained 'feral' the rest of his life even while living among humans.

I believe it takes a few short years as a child to become 'feral' but adults would never become 'feral' if they already lived in society such as with the story of Joe Hollis whom has lived off-grid for 50 years in Appalachia or the Japanese soldiers who were found hiding in the jungles after WW2 in the 1970's (they were still not feral).:magic_wand::stars:

To be truly 'feral', one must grow up with wild animals, live like a wild animal, and be seen by the animal pack as one of their own.

Un-contacted tribes are also not considered 'feral' because they still have human standards of living and rules of life, albeit not as complex as population dwellers in a technological society.
