Most of them aren't bad they're just... JUNK! Lackluster and unfinished. Odds are they know they'll never finish it. Expectations are so high now therefore how many small developers could finish a major game?

Aside from that, STEAM and similar services have gone from being a few dozen GREAT releases to hundreds of lackluster games burying the small percentage of worthwhile games.
