No That is your view of thing today because of the mixed cultures. This was normal and is normal where people do not live as long. This is a normal biological process that starts in teens and is seen in all of the animal species of the world including Humans.
The age of consent is do to the ones in control.
You could also ask: "Is the church full of pedos?"
It's probably a matter of definition, regional standards and one's own personal moral compass.
Plus if the two people married are the same age, it's not pedophilia.
And just because they can consent, doesn't mean they will consent.
And you could get married and just not have sex...(or otherwise abuse them)
Anyway, to answer your question, not it's not related. They don't magically become pedophiles just because you legalize pedophilia.
Because 14-16 is definitly not true when I look at the developed countries. Sexual activity with an adult 18+ and a minor is illegal pretty much everywhere I could think of.
Buddhism is evil. Stay away from their stone age beliefs.
The first is that while the age of consent was raised in 2023. It's at 16 now. Canada did something similar in 2006: Raised it from 14 to 16.
The other is that even before than, the Japanese prefectures generally had a higher age of consent than the national age of consent, so throughout most of the nation having sex with a 13 year old wasn't legal. Maybe in some rural areas which hadn't updated their age of consent laws in a long time.
You have to keep in mind that the U.S.A. has a system where there is basically no national age of consent (with limited exceptions where federal jurisdiction attaches), and then each state sets its own age of consent.
In the U.S. system where there basically is not a national age of consent, because it isn't linked to the enumerated powers, a state could theoretically lower its age of consent as low as it wants. It could be 12 or even lower. In the Japanese system which had a national age of consent, the floor was at 13, no matter what the prefectures wanted.
Most 16 to 18 year old girls still look like they're 14 year old girls. VERY few age, mature, develop quickly. Even models claiming to be 18 years old appear to be mid 20's. Very few develop and fill out that quickly, those females are the EXCEPTION.
Again, it's a culture thing, it really depends on how the culture views it. Ohio it's 16 and some states still allow consensual incest by the age of 16. BAD idea, yet they allow it. Family Guy made some jokes of it that probably went over most heads because how many people know Rhode Island state laws?
So don't go to those countries if you don't like how they do things. That's the way life works.
Or start your own country so you can make your own rules.
BTW your username is Dirtbag ... I can smell the Hypocrisy from miles away.
Oh, let me add this ... now you know why there are a LOT of pissed off Americans when the Biden administration left the border wide open without these people learning what it means to be an American and live in America.
A percentage of those men came in from countries where they age of consent is a lot lower there than it is here, and a percentage of those people don't give 2 ♥♥♥♥♥ about the law in America either.
This is one of the biggest reasons why the Democrats should never be anywhere near power and control ever again.
I have travelled to Japan and Philippines, both countries still have lower age of consent. The respective governments may have stated they would make changes are doing so to make good on the world outside of their countries. In reality nothing changes. These laws are unenforceable in those two countries.
Philippines in particular, poverty is very noticeable, outside of few elites, most of the people there are so poor that age of consent is least of their worries. One area that is very common in Asia is police bribery for any offenses not limited to pedophillia. If one has the means and a lot of money by Asian standards, then one is pretty much untouchable.
