How to find time for gaming?
Hi.
I am a newbie and a lamer.
I am living with others in a small apartment.
I used to have my own apartment, but I needed to take care of all my homies.
So now we live together in this small apartment.
It's hard to find time for gaming, because there is always something going on.
Does anyone have advice what to say and do, so I can get more time for my gaming?
And which games are good to play when you have people around you all the time?
Thanks for all help!

you could be gaming right now!
Just start gaming and if anything gets in the way figure out if you can do it later.

Also, do you all have separate TVs and console/PC setups with headphones(so you don't disturb or screenwatch eachother)?

You would have to elaborate on "There is always something going on."

Gaming should be a low priority so if you've prioritized other things, there's no shame in that.

I suggest avoiding games that have no end. Like Terraria, Rimworld, MMOs, things of that nature. I suggest a game that either can be picked up and put down a lot or a game you can play in increments that has a tight storyline.

Balatro for the former and like a Final Fantasy for the latter.

That's correct. But there are like twelve people around me making noise, and I can't make them stop. I just want to be alone. Maybe I should consider moving out.. But then.. My homies will get mad at me :|

get some nice headphones if you living with peoples who make a lot of noise. the really high end ones will completely cancel out their babbling and let you concentrate on gaming!

I am trying. Problem is; they make noise. Especially in weekends. Even with headphones on; I am disturbed. I have mentioned I might be moving out, but then they get emotional.
Tell people to leave you alone and then go game.

Cool. I will get new headphones. Good advice. The ones I have are bad. Hope they aren't too expensive though..

"They get emotional", you're being manipulated.

Set a boundary. Tell them the consequences for passing the boundary. Don't bluff, make it something you are willing to actually do. If they do pass the boundary, execute on the consequences.

I don't feel I have prioritized other things. I like to game. It's more that they want to party or chat, and I want to relax and game. Sometimes they party for days, and they get emotional when I tell them to stop.

Yes, I will try some games that are easy to pick up and play, but I also like to get into games with story and some length. Maybe I just need to focus on getting new headphones (as mentioned).

I used to game more when I lived alone, and I miss those times.

True. Well said. I need to be taken seriously. This has become a problem.
One "problem" also is that one of them has a girlfriend, and she does not like that I spend time gaming. She wants me to be social all the time.

I need to set a boundary, if I want to start enjoying games again.
I had a lot more time for gaming, when I lived alone, but I decided to be more social.

Now they want me to be social all the time.
That's not good either.
Riddle me this...
Someone else's girlfriend is setting boundaries on YOUR gaming?
Sounds like YOUR girlfriend to me.
What does your friend think of this situation?

Yes. I agree. I think she likes me (as a friend), and wants to be social.
I think they are too social. Talking all the time (and partying). Never resting (well maybe some hours sleep, that's all).
I am not sure what my friend thinks, and I need to talk more with all the people around here about this. I need to confront them with the situation I'm in, and set a boundary. Hopefully it works out. Also I will get some better headphones. These are not good at all.
statistically your roommates are likely to be robot reseeds who will gain intangible benefits from ruining your life with pointless social engagements.

they might even be allowed to move into an apartment with less than 8 people in it.

if this is infact the case, the solution is to get out of that living situation. you cannot optimize them away, they were created specifically to prevent this. temporarily removing them as an issue always causes snapback, because they are actively plotting to prove themselves valuable robots by driving a human insane.

they could also be some kind of demon let loose from hell to experience an alternative life, so that they appreciate the normalcy of their birthplace more thoroughly. if so then they'll probably not be as much of an issue. demons respond to social constraints, because they are trying to blend in not alter the world.
