Good on GOG!
https://items.gog.com/freedomtobuy/index.html
You are painting a made up scenario here
In 2014, Collective Shout protested the video game Grand Theft Auto V ("GTA V"). They described GTA V as a "video game that encourages players to brutally murder women for entertainment". The game was banned from Target and Kmart retail chains in Australia that year, for which the group claimed responsibility.
An Australian pressure group named Collective Shout has claimed responsibility for the recent removal of certain NSFW (not safe for work) games and content from the platforms Steam and Itch.io
They also want Detroit: Become Human removed. This group has gotten legal games removed from stores before and they are responsible.
They are working on fixing that. It's due to the high site traffic.
How is gog not relevant? People on social media constantly asking game accounts for gog versions of games.
Better than Steam in a few respects. And infinitely better than ♥♥♥♥♥ like Epic and uPlay.
It's grand standing. The games that were banned on Steam also aren't on GoG. So if they really are against the censorship, add them to GOG.
We need market liberty and agnostic money, not social credit and coercion.
