You don't really have to flip a coin. Most of the regulars 'round here don't. You can pretty reliably tell who is going to post sentiments agreeing with one side's politics over another if you just lurk more.

Specifically the jester; there shouldn't be any negative connotation associated with awards. This system already functions as a reputation system by seeing how many jesters someone has; I don't know why Valve hasn't just committed to creating a proper one instead of one based around arbitrary currency

Would agree if it wasn't for the onslaught of alts; but what you're saying also requires being familiar with the offending accounts. More often than not, they're anon throw-away accounts
