The Surveillance States of America
Do you support the government using AI to enhance their surveillance powers?

Here's some of the "innovations" being implemented under the current US government.

Real ID: Links personal data to federal systems, enabling mass tracking.

TSA biometrics: Facial scans speed up travel but build surveillance databases.

ICE facial recognition: Uses DMV and social media photos with little oversight.

Palantir: Analyzes personal data across 30+ agencies; risks profiling and bias.

Google health data: Collects sensitive info, often shared without clear consent.

AI on highways: Tracks license plates and movements, quietly logging behavior.

China is the foreshadowing of how the west will look like. We'll all live under that system sooner or later. But I know personally I will adapt and be 10 steps ahead of the system. :steammocking:

China were just ahead of the curve.

There really won't be any freedom left unless you move to a rural area in the developing world.

No, there won't be any freedom left if you aren't rich. That's the key takeaway here.

This is global. It's going to happen everywhere.

Even the rich won't be insulated.

We're witnessing a significant leap in the evolution of the digital age.
wasn't there a recent scandal where they discovered the vast majority of highway ai are beligerent, and engineer situations where they can con other drivers into driving 'poorly' by driving like a lunatic themselves, and only submitting the footage of the other driver responding to their insanity?

y'know, the way ai works online.
