Hello to all the resident armchair experts.
I’ve got a question for you: what, in your opinion, is the best game out there - and why?

MGSV: TPP, great live open world that is not emply mostly, great narrative, fun gameplay
Certainly NOT Apex Legends (Aimhax laggins)
that sad excuse for a "fun game" is a rigged, infested, 20tick laggy, broken, FAKE joke.
fun, but damn it's a good game gone too BAD.

Minecraft still outweighs most games.

It set the bar high and did most things right.

MGS3.
Because story.
which pile of flotsam is the one I want to drown imagining is a boat...hmmm...
RuneScape, it’s the game I played most in my life and has the best music and story I ever saw in a game. it’s totally underrated sugar!! more than 1,000 songs and over 300 quests all with good plots, none of that boring fetch quest nonsense. the story’s so good with its own pantheon of gods and events that ripple through every race and region. and it ain’t just lore, lots of that story shines right in the quests with killer dialogues and even cutscenes. no doubt best game and MMORPG ever made, if you ask me
To many to name

Morrowind
Metal gear solid 2,3,4
Titan quest
Diablo 2
Witcher 3
Red dead redemption 2
Halo
Gears of war 1-3
Mario kart 64
Mario 64
Time splitters 2
Doom3
Runescape
Vanilla wow
Goldeneye
Conker bad furday
Viewtiful joe
Lotr gmes on gamecube/ps2
Zelda
Prey 2006
Bloodborne
Demon. Souls
Dark souls
Destroy all humans
Def jam fighting game
Fight night round 2
Pokémon red m n blue
Duke nukem 64
Killzone 1-3

So many more

But these were on the top of my head

Based on my game time on Steam only. The original Killing Floor.

A co-op game with different perks (classes) that require a lot of teamwork, even more so on the higher difficulties. Players that can't control their trigger finger can get a whole team wiped quickly.

A very close second is L4D2 for the same reason.

i tried really hard to love KF2 as much as 1, and i think i gave it a fair shot because i sunk a few hundreds hours into it. but it just did not have the charm of KF1 to me. i loved the darker aesthetics and goofier voicelines of KF1, and more importantly i loved how heavy and slow everything felt in KF1. KF2 is still slow, but it feels very fast paced compared to 1. the movement feels "floaty", whereas in KF1 it felt like you moved with sand in your boots. which sounds bad, but i loved how it felt.

Path of Exile and Rimworld is the best game(s)

Chess.

Simple 8x8 board with 16 pieces a side and yet it can be so complex as some of the newest fancy games out there.
