Initially, but then you should reap the fruit and enjoy the ♥♥♥♥ out of life. And this should take place as early as possible.

If its seemingly endless for no reason then no.
No, but good things often require a cost of suffering; and wherever that suffering comes from it can be spun to your advantage to be good for you.

So too can the suffering only coming from yourself, rather than others. This personal branding can be traded on, in almost any context. It is extremely difficult to question this advantage, and indeed it is the nightmare of the battlefield soldiers to encounter such a personage.

hwat about a smaller hammer, like a tac hammer?

the bigger the better, but if you feel intimidated by the sheer size of mallets and such, a claw hammer may be a good alternative. i personally use one to add extra wrinkles to my cerebrum when i'm not feeling smart enough.

The simple truth in life is:

Pain is the prerequisite for change.

Without pain you would never change anything.

If you cut your finger and it hurts next time you will be more careful cutting.

If you have back problems then the pain will make you change how often you sit on a PC, how you sit, how long you sit and so on.

If you lover leaves you then you will feel pain and may think about why.

Think about if you would even notice anything if there were no pain?

Pain is just an effective feedback mechanism. It tells you to improve something about you.
Affliction is a treasure, and scarce any man hath enough of it. No man hath affliction enough that is not matured and ripened by and made fit for God by that affliction. If a man carry treasure in bullion, or in a wedge of gold, and have none coined into current money, his treasure will not defray him as he travels. Tribulation is treasure in the nature of it, but it is not current money in the use of it, except we get nearer and nearer our home, heaven, by it.
Suffer not if I’m safe in present.

This is about suffering, not specific to pain. Yes pain is a necessary thing.

Suffering? Not necessary

I wouldn't recommend it.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Du%E1%B8%A5kha is often translated as "suffering," though many people say "stress" or "stressors" would be more accurate.

well it made sense when I did it; sort of.

same as yourself I assume.

as you may know I went through a series of hammers of various weights and compositions, eventually settling on the one nearest by.

There is no suffering without pain. Suffering is just a consequence of the pain.

It depends what type of suffering you're talking about, financial suffering as an example, makes you better with money in the long run as you appreciate what you might not have or struggle to keep hold of.

I think 'certain' suffering makes you a better person, in the long-term.
