National Identity is a scam
I use to be proud of my national identity, i use to think it brought a sense of unity among others. When i was capable of seeing the big picture i realized how much more divided weve become from claiming national identity. We are all individuals, our thoughts and desires shouldnt be tied to a national identity. Do you agree?

This also helps to think past the us vs them narrative nations push on us to continue dividing us and keeping us from thinking above things such as hating each other and pitting one another in wars simply because we are from a different part of the world.
National pride is based on nothing. You were born in a country.

How would pride be connected? Being proud is feeling accomplished for something that *you* did, or accomplished with others
In my youth, politics was rarely discussed. It just wasn't cool. We left that for grandparents to discuss because we were too busy with what mattered in our lives. I get the sense youth these days have given up hope for their personal lives. Perhaps it's the housing market skyrocketing and the costs of higher education out of reach. Gamers spend a lot more time gaming too. I can't say I blame them except that they keep voting against their interests and get wrapped up in things like woke and global politics instead of what they can do for themselves. Social media has been used effectively by the elite and powerful for thought control. Youtubers are given free reign to spread agendas needing only how to set up a YouTube channel. So you don't need to know facts and truths, only to search for opinions that align with your own obsession with global politics and affairs. This means putting personal goals aside.

we call that an echo chamber. One of the best way to make it clear to someone that you are in an echo chamber is generalizing and projecting onto others.

What part of embracing individualism is baiting?
I know the answer, it isnt. I wont speak for you but youve said enough to tell everyone else whats already clear about you.
patriotism can be good, nationalism is generally bad and those who are nationalists are usually completely blind to any suffering or issues with their country. its good to criticise your own country, and you can still love your country despite these criticisms. blind, obedient loyalty is not required to have some national pride.

that being said, my country sucks and i hate it.

I doubt that the account has the national identity with whose symbolism he surrounds itself.

Nationalism can be a great unifying thing, but it only works if it's the lowest tribalistic category a person can identify with. But the problem at least in my country is they discourage people identifying as "Americans" and encourage people to identify with their race, skin color, sexual orientation, gender and sex, there's also high levels of tribalism on a political scale but obviously it's slightly better then skin color, race, etc.
