i also have a little beef with his english voice actor, yuri lowenthal. hes an amazing voice actor, but after hearing him in hundreds of roles in games and anime over the years i am well past sick of him.

sick of troy baker too. and matt mercer, laura bailey (who voices mary jane in the new spider mans), johnny yong bosch, steve blum, monica rial. they are all really incredible voice actors and are popular for a reason, but i can only hear their voices so many times before i go mad. there was a period in the early noughties where it was just these voice actors + a few more, like the same 10 voice actors in every single english translation of japanese games. it was maddening.

thankfully, it has gotten better and more varied.

I suppose, though I don’t believe there’s an explicit agenda to deliberately uglify men per se, but there’s certainly one aimed at making them incompetent or race-swapping them.

I can only think of like 3 things Steve Blum has been in within the last... almost 10 years. Ghost Recon: Wildlands (Scott Mitchell), Marvel Rivals (Wolverine), and Neon White (White)
