Too many people use the word WOKE out of context.

The term was highjacked years ago but now it's just a buzzword for things people don't like.
I'll make this short . When companies pander to LGBTQ , when they change a character's ethnicity ... that's not WOKE.

Woke is being aware of injustices that are going on. For example if you found out some lawmakers where running some scheme and tricking tons of people into giving up their rights unknowingly by signing something . If you're aware and you tell people is all BS and not to fall for it then you're woke.

Say you figure out some corruption scandal and warn others about it so the people aren't manipulated ... that's what WOKE actually is .

When they force identity politics , or pander to lgbtq it has nothing to do with being aware of injustices ! I get it and yes people are sick of it but you guys keep calling everything woke when in 99% of the cases what you talk about has nothing to do with being aware of corruption or an injustice .

" keep up with the times " oh really ? you'd be surprised to know how old words are . To tell me to keep up with the times is laughable . " Woke " isn't even that old in fact it's one of the newest terms yet every other word you use in the English language is much older . Some words going back to the early 1500's -800 AD . Telling me to keep up made no sense .

The point was that terms have meanings . Changing it due to ignorance , or having a group of people highjack the term and change it doesn't make it what they say. If so then language would be useless.

currently it means digging up past injustices and holding people who were not even alive back then accountable for it, as well as selective categorisation of injustices based on the identity of the victim and perpetrators and promoting new injustices as payback and not treating it as injustice.

I always considered woke to be current real world politics in video games, not anything relating to LGBTQ

And real world politics rustles my jimmies too much

I have several games on my wishlist with the incorrect "woke" definition people might ascribe to it but the games look fun, so i don't care if they have different pronouns or whatnot
