Honestly, I doubt that will happen. We have age restrictions on games already, if I'm over 18 or 21 in some countries, and I play violent games, which I do, I expect to see that violence, that's why I bought it. I'm not a youngster, I'm an adult, let me play in peace

Games are an easy target for them.

They know they would lose if they went to war against the film industry.

However, games have a controversial history from Doom being branded as satanic to the Grand Theft Auto Hot Coffee mod.

Steam/Valve know too well that censoring all games like "Adult, horror, action shooting, war games etc..." Just to "please my Not my government Labour Party UK" with this controlling propaganda lie called "Online Safety Act" to "Protect Children" is not going to work well for Steam when they start losing Revenue and customers. It would destroy jobs, gaming industry, gaming hardware, and other stuff that list longer.

I really do like the fact to protect children from this type of stuff because I grew up in unfiltered internet where I seen Gore, death, abuse, torture, and other stuff from the dark sides of the internet. But I believe its on the parents to do more... On the Router there an built in app to prevent children accessing this stuff, all it should take is 15 - 25 seconds ad and how it done, then no more children seeing stuff from corn to gore.

But this is on the parents fault for not being parents! So they got to shove all of us onto the same boat to get our ID so we can view this ♥♥♥♥ and then OUR ID ends up on the blackmarket on the darkweb where the danger begins!

Because unlike credit cards, phone your bank and cancel it, ID you cannot... It out there and then you're well roasted, they can make copies and take loans, open banks and this can be anywhere in any country, and say hello to whoever comes after the money from you!
