It was an adult animated dark comedy series that aired on The WB from April to May of 2001. Thirteen episodes were made with eight episodes being aired on The WB and the other five made their way to AdultSwim in October of 2002.
Created by Angus Oblong and Jace Richdale, the show focuses on the titular family, who--like everyone else in 'The Valley' community--are either deformed, mutated or disabled due to the toxic radiation and pollution surrounding the area. Despite this, they are a happy, loving family, but every now and then they have to put up with the antics of the rich, self-centred and more better looking community known as 'The Hills' who live in a higher area away from the pollution. The series is basically a commentary of Social Stratification and it's not afraid to point out just how cruel people from The Hills can be toward others who are considered outcasts, which is barely shown in animated shows--or any show or movie--nowadays (as far as I'm aware). That's one of the reasons why I love this show. The other reason; it's funny as hell.
