That doesnt sound like IT or the Dark Tower. Those are the only two i remember being interested in of Stephen King's work

maturin is actually mentioned in lots of king novels, but often he has no relation to the story overall. just a greater scope paragon. he actually has a massive role in the dark tower series though, and a lesser but still present role in IT
