Solution for homeless
Trump announced an historic breakthrough for resolving the homeless problem that's been a thorn in the side of politicians for decades: Send in the National Guard to remove them. Problem solved. He promises to do the same in other cities as well. Look at how clean and orderly the streets are in Pyongyang!

How long before he decides to treat them like World War 1 vets, and ship them out by rail.

Theres no problem, if theres no people.

Reagan would be proud.
One of the more realistic 'time travel back to contemporary time' Star Trek arcs is when Sisko winds up in the dystopian year of 2024, when homeless and unemployed are being kept in walled off ghettos with barbed wire and guard towers.

God I wish people in america werent so foolish.

Sweden tackles homelessness through a combination of prevention, emergency support, and a nationally supported Housing First initiative. Municipalities, with support from social services, NGOs, and private organizations, offer a range of services including assisted living, group homes, shelters, eviction prevention, and housing counseling. A key aspect is the Housing First model, where housing is provided as a fundamental right, and support services are offered to help individuals maintain their housing and integrate socially.

Thats how you really deal with homelessness, but I guess if your a business owner whos only interest is in breaking backs to make your fortune, then just getting them out of sight is "good enuff".

Well, how about policing the home construction ? "Light wood structure homes" are meant to be quick to build and cheap. That does NOT compute when a new home costs from 250.000 to 300.000 dollars, for a work that is shoddier and shoddier each passing year.

Ho, and to add that something like 10 to 15% of empty homes are a hold-up as investment.

Homelessness could be instantly solved by nationalising all the empty homes, but the real long term solution wuld be to reign in the contractors that buy a block of wood for 12 cents and using it as a 30 dollar piece.

The finitions are worse each passing year, as i've seen some inspectors say, many new homes could NOT pass approval without 1) corruption and 2) no inspection proper.

That problem is a real, SYSTEMIC problem.

Add to that that building light wood frame houses in hurricane corridors ... well ... ;)

On the contrary, Reagan is rolling over in his grave after finally ending the Cold War in a decisive blow, fragmenting the USSR and communism with it. And he did it in class without childish bragging.
This year is only half over and Russia has been resurrected by US with hopes for territory in Ukraine and possibly reinstated into the G7 to be G8. That's like feeding your dog a biscuit for peeing on the couch, except that it completely nullifies the trillions spent to reduce the Russian threat during Reagan's terms. Such a waste.

They should like build a really high skyscraper and add more stories to it as they see fit in order to home all the homeless.
You realize that veterans are homeless too?
Start by giving them 800 dollars a month to get a place to live and food.
There is no one solution for the homelessness problem, because people are homeless for many different reasons.

Because 5-8% are willingly homeless, let's put everyone in the same basket and ignore the real human suffering leading to drugs to try and cope with living on the streets. And of course, hope that you will never break an arm or the hip, leading to be unable to work for even a short period of time, leading to roper unemployment, leading to being unable to pay your rent, leading to the streets.

So much wow.
