I saved quite a few class assignments on those ubiquitous AOL trial floppy disks.

Just switch the read only tab in the corner and wipe it and you've got free storage.

1990's. Had broadband in very early 2000's, and used it with Xbox Live on the OG Xbox.

When I was a kid, I would throw a blanket over the family computer to muffle the sound of the dial-up connection so I could sneak online at night to play flash games.

If I remember right, then there are some special characters that you could enter before dialing the number so the modem connects in silent mode.
