what's the best life advice you've ever received?
how have you implemented that into your life?

not specifically any advice, but more of a state of mind. a friend of mine is very positive overall, but not in a naive way. he is realistic and understands anything is possible, even negative possibilities. but overall he lives his life as if he is only control of himself and his actions...because he is. we all are.

we can only control ourselves, we can only dictate what we do and how we choose to spend our limited time on this mud ball. this sort of sounds like nihilism and i am saying to just not care about nothing, but this is not it. do care about things, about yourself and others, your hobbies and dreams. but also understand that many things will happen in your life you have no control over.

the universe is random and strange, and sometimes unfair. all you can do is be generally positive and take care of yourself.
That ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ain't ♥♥♥♥ but hoes and tricks put on the earth to suck mens ♥♥♥♥♥.
the best lessons learned are the lessons experienced, that's not advice i was given its the reason for why i don't have a good answer

i view him way too much like a brother for such things, also he is straight. but i will not say the thought has never crossed my mind. :boykisserSmug:

- "When a dog bites you, you don't bite the dog back. If you do, then there's no difference left between the two of you. You are better than them, so, be better than them."

- "Only the fruit bearing trees bow down. Fruitless trees either stand erect or break."

From mom and dad respectively.

there's a really wholesome youtuber named tomatoanus who always preaches about how "no feeling is final" and that how you're feeling doesn't define who you are as a person, ultimately leading people to believe there'll always be better days. and i think people like that are pretty awesome

Invest in yourself and in appreciating assets over the long-term.

Yes, for example, sometimes a conflict leads to cutting off contact with someone. Later, when the frustration fades, you start remembering all the good times you shared with that friend - but by then, it’s often too late to repair what was broken

that's some heartbreak. if you know that much you're already set for something great
