I'm a little worried about Spaceballs 2.
Yes, Spaceballs 2 is in the works and it's planned to be released in 2027, but I have my doubts about it. Don't get me wrong, I would love to see a sequel to--what I think is--Mel Brooks' greatest film yet, but I'm just anxious about it for two reasons:
1. Like many long-awaited sequels, it might not live up to the original.
2. Mel Brooks might pass away before production of the film is finished. If that were to happen, what would be the point in completing the film? It just wouldn't be the same without Brooks.

I might be worrying too much (I do that sometimes) and maybe it won't suck, but I just have a really bad feeling about it...

also no john candy. also yeah...mel brooks is 99, it would be cool if he got to see it released, if he does he will be 101! (it is slated to release in 2027)

I forgot to mention about the fact that there would be recasts, which sounds okay, but NO ONE can replace John Candy as Barf, in my opinion.

Hopefully Mel Brooks does all his lines first, odds are he won't be around when it finally gets released in cinemas .

Either way im gonna see it despite knowing that probably wont be as good as the first one :TOIlogo:

There are lots of reasons to be worried. However, did you see 'History of the World part 2'? Turned out decently enough. Some disappointments, but overall good.

Bill Pullman, Rick Moranis, and Daphne Zuniga are all returning.

Could it be bad? Sure, but this is the last chance for most of the actors to reprise their roles.
