Are you trying to starve out Youtubers? They gotta eat too, and they don't wanna work. Take some time to look for "--------- collapse" or "you won't believe what -------- just did"

Own a lot of cds, dvds and games physically
Most of my PC games on disk will not work with newer hardware and operating systems because of old DRM (Starforce, SecuROM, etc.). My Logitech F310 gamepad will not work with Windows 11 due to an incompatible driver issue, and Logitech doesn't seem interested in fixing the problem. And, all of the consoles I have owned in the past would not be compatible with today's monitors/displays unless there is an HDMI/Display Port adapter available. I had to replace my Playstation console twice, and my PS2 console once because the disk drives failed. I no longer use consoles for gaming. Nothing lasts forever.

Those are the same reasons my brother gave for switching from PC to console gaming. He said it got too expensive to always deal with hardware becoming obsolete too fast. The industry is interested in keeping you buying it seems. Instead of focusing on performance they focus on gimmicks like RT that are resource hogs. This ensures serious gamers are going to pay serious coin. Most of the performance complaints on steam are from high end users, not mid range or budget.

in the case of games, they are just too big in terms of storage space these days to be contained on physical media

You don't buy groceries, you only rent it.

I process it into fecal matter actually.

I don't even own the physical copy of myself.

At some point the subscription on that license will expire as well, then *poof* no more mortal experience for me.

On a side note:

Would anyone mind gifting me an upgrade to a deluxe version like Elon has.

I do my part. All of the games I've been buying lately are Switch 1 carts. I'd buy P.C. games if they were still sold on optical disc, but they don't even give me the option.

Honestly, I prefer physical media and with it was more of a thing, but you can't get it for PC nowadays. If you want the PC version and for it to be a physical copy, you gonna have to settle with buying the PC version and a physical console release. It kinda stinks because I would prefer a physical PC version. Stinks... :(
