Is the US Dollar losing value?
It's because of the orange man's tariffs that play a role on devaluing the currency, so does it mean one who keeps their funds in USD will become worthless? However, it's still the most traded currency in the world while Euro is second place.

The US dollar has been losing value since before the orange man was born.
When the buying power of money keeps weakening, it is called inflation and it's been going nuts for quite some time now.

Here the dollar index:

It has to do mainly with interest rate and CPI differentials.

That said, US stock markets are making all-time highs.

Trump originally claimed he enjoyed a "strong US dollar" and it was just useless people who weakened it.

Now that it's weakened and only going to get worst due to his trade cuts and Trump Tariffs, etc, while he adds the US Debt up to $37 trillion (Trump being a crazy 21% of adding to the US Debt now)... He claims he loves the US Dollar weak so he can do more stuff with it and profit.

Sounds like some goofy ass currency I'd use at a carnival or circus lmao

Obviously, how else are my bags growing in value? It will go even lower in the coming months /not financial advice

If relative interest rate expectations change, it will affect currency exchange rates.

United States interest rates are expected to decline.

That said, hopefully sooner rather than later. CPI just came out today lower than expected. And below 3%. Again.

Why is Powell keeping rates high with inflation so low? Looks sus.

Yes, because dollar weakening is a good thing for the markets.

You can't stop it. There is a cost-of-carry trade going on. You can't earn higher yields in one country and not expect the exchange rate to adjust - in my opinion.

Bottom line. Take advantage of a strong dollar when it's strong.

Also, US stock markets are cheaper now in foreign currency terms.

You can hedge against these problems. That's my job as a hedge fund quant. :P For example I'm all in crypto right now, after that I will be in dollars and finally in euros.

Play on, player. I hope you prosper.

I also hope you now realize elections have consequences. Always vote for the lesser of two evils in the future.

There's no hope in my plan, only pure research.

I'm still not going to vote hehe, I will always adapt. It's like in league I don't ban any champions, because I want to be able to destroy everyone, under any conditions.
tarriff knock on effects are not here yet.

the next few months will be interesting.
