anyone else planning to keep boycotting youtube after today?

people have talked about boycotting youtube today, as a result of their decision to expand their ai-based age approximation to the united states— likely planning to expand it elsewhere
if the system misflags you, you'd be required to provide your id in order to verify you're an adult

however, some criticize the movement, saying that if the boycott only lasts a day then it will not work

so, what do you plan to do? will you limit the boycott to today, or will you keep going afterwards?
will you limit yourself to using adblockers, or will you stop using the site entirely?

A boycott will have to be really huge to have any impact since other parts of the world will just keep using it like usual. Most people also aren't chronically online enough to care, so I don't think Youtube is gonna have to care

It's not really an active boycott, just lack of interest anymore. They suck now.

I am already boycotting them by using adblocker and not feeling bad about it ONE. TINY. BIT.

It has to be longer, one day boycotts don't do anything lmao

That being said; probably not. I'll see how bad it really is but I still believe this is a large overreaction and most people won't even be affected by it. I rarely use YouTube nowadays so they aren't losing much from me stopping anyways.

Also yeah what sixty said. Adblock ftw so they already don't see my traffic

I never agreed to the Google+ TOS after Google bought YouTube, so I'm still on an OG YouTube account.

It'll be interesting to see if it breaks their system.
