why do we pretend to know?
We’re taught to chase answers like they’re treasures. But the real currency is asking better questions. Keep poking & wondering. Most of life’s “truths” are just invitations to think harder.

Some people have an ego to feed.
Drugs are prominent.

Usually just asking "Why?" repeatedly is the best question that can be asked.
However, that makes you sound like an annoying little kid.

Eddie Woo can tell you more about it : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-YJSDJGyIaU
the kid is the only one still paying attention while everyone else nods like they get it. Eddie Woo’s videos are neat..sure but repeating “why” isn’t a flaw, it’s a lens.

Of course not. And he says as much. But that doesn't change the fact that if you go back to being that kid with OTHER PEOPLE and ask them why about everything, they will get very annoyed and tell you to cut it out.
Many people then internalize this and do it with their own inner voice (if they even have one).

Again, it's usually (but not always) the best question that can be asked.
Not the best question that can be thought of ...the best question that actually can be asked.
Exactly. Asking “why” out loud is messy because other people don’t always want to clean up after your curiosity.

No postcards, sorry.

Around the time dude stops parading sophomoric sophistry as deep thought and significant social insight.

..."I wouldn't hold your breath" is the key takeaway here.

So my imaginary 'main' returns when the world stops confusing noise for wisdom? works for me.

You do realize that, given the context of the post you're replying to, you literally just called your efforts here noise masquerading as wisdom, right?

For someone holding their intellect out as being sharper than the average bear's, your reading comprehension seems like it might be a bit of a hamstring.

Observation rarely needs applause to be productive.

Conversely, productivity rarely needs applause to be observed. Ah, the delights of meaningless wisdom.

Quiet work outlives clamor. Applause is optional, impact isn’t.

People would rather be right then be accurate.

"What is a woman?"
Most people think they are right. I mean, imagine a situation where most people thought they are wrong.
