Normal people will just say "oh, that's cool", some of them forget to use my pronouns, most of them get it and refer to me by they/them.

It doesn’t matter whether people actually believe in it or do it because it’s “trendy” it’s a flawed concept at its core. People who indulge in it long enough probably realize it and that’s why they try to encourage others to participate so they don’t feel miserable alone.

If by disagree you mean call people slurs, spout hate, dehumanize people, and attempt to take our rights away. Generally what they are doing is harmful and way more than simple disagreement with a concept because it gets people hurt for the heinous crime of... wait for it... being a different gender than what they were assigned at birth.

When framed as a simple disagreement it sounds reasonable, when framed as it actually is, it sounds evil and malicious, because it is.

and what is your basis on this? because you don't understand or like it ? honestly i don't care do what makes you happy. sure many of them are annoying but as long as you educate them you did all you can and move on

The most effective way to overcome prejudice is to lead by example. Since many people have never met an LGBT+ person, visibility and personal connection are key. Demonstrate that you are a talented and intelligent individual first and foremost, showing that your identity is just one part of who you are. Be a great listener, a wise advisor, and someone others feel comfortable around, regardless of whether you’re trans or not. Focus on building bridges, not burning them, though this path requires great patience and courage.

I and others encourage people to question and explore gender identity because denial and repression is real and questioning and exploration is the only way to overcome it. It took me years to realize who I am but me not knowing about being genderqueer didn't stop me from actually being trans, but if I had known and started questioning sooner. I might've been way happier sooner, since I could've gotten the care I needed much sooner.
