uk discussing to raise pension age to 72
denmark already passed a law, pension age will be 70 by 2040

just work harder to keep the govt going, your benefits are coming and you'll have the freedom to do what you want with your time when you are 70 years young (if you're alive)
best system ever, a wage slave tax system

What do you expect from the world run by gerontocracy. Instead of putting pension age at 55 and giving young people actually chance to get a job and have family.
Self-fabricated population crisis in all developed countries.

People may be living longer, but they are getting more and more beat down physically and mentally.

It is all very well a pampered government person stating 'they live longer let them work longer!' but everything still ages on a person.
People get same things they got 50 years ago as they age just with less guarantee all their work will be worth something.

If I live past 50 I'll be putting my trust in actual metals as an investment for retirement not government pensions for the 70s onwards.

The world is very uncertain, is all I can say.

King Charmander found out rest of the world doesn't go on holiday for 6 months out of the year. The rate of random elder abuse by migrants will skyrocket.

These are retirement ages in Europe. Interesting many countries have lower age for women, who tend to live longer. Like anywhere else you can take earlier with penalty. It's generally the better option unless you live to be 90+

Wait. Why? I thought all the stuff they got from their government was free?
RIP UIK :(

a system where the system tells you to work all your life and promises you will receive a benefit when you are old is already pretty crazy. The benefit might not even be there by that time if you're alive

I guess it's ok if you can do something or some investment by yourself
yep nobody knows what will happen anyway
It is in a governments best interest to work it's livestock as long as possible. Retirement has always been as much rooted in fantasy as in reality, and was really only available for societies wealthy enough to waste the resources. It is as much tool for motivation to keep a person working, instead of complaining.

For many, it won't be. Governments can't fund this ♥♥♥♥ indefinitely. Now they add even more people onto their social programs that didn't pay into them before, they can't even afford to be a world power, traded that for those social programs and now they can't even afford those anymore.

Gotta love the boomers in charge.
They got their pension and retirement so now they pull the ladder up while everyone younger reaps the rewards of the decaying anti-natalist world they built.
May as well just get rid of it and tell people they will have to work until they die at this point :bluerune::luv:

"Work hard! Millions on welfare depend on you!":steamhappy:

if a govt can't the money it wants from abroad, then they will try to get it from the local population

if someone dies as soon as he/she retires, it benefits the government
the government literally wants people to die as soon as they retire to avoid having to pay what they promised
it's a crazy system

Government issued pensions are a scam, people should move to a country that allows them to make as much money as possible and then retire in a cheap country.
