Socialism under Trump: US government owns 10% of Intel now
https://edition.cnn.com/2025/08/22/tech/trump-intel-10-percent-stake

Just imagine how MAGA Republicans would react if Biden would've done even anything remotely close to this. They'd be screaming how the country is becoming extremely socialist, as the government is actively acquiring parts of privately run businesses. But because it's the cult leader, you are expected to simply nod and accept the socialism as Trump's "master plan". If you oppose it, they will call you a sheep, "woke radical leftist" and exclude you. Not surprised.

Let's be perfectly clear about the facts, however. This is socialism. Trump is nationalizing the means of production (the very definition of socialism) when government now has ownership in one of the major chipmakers. There's no way around it. That's by definition socialism, something that Republicans claim to be as against as you can possibly be. What happened? :o

Well, if you need any more evidence that the modern GOP is just one man's cult, and that one man can step over all of the principles and norms that the party has embraced for decades, this is it.

This is absolutely insane. GOP is socialist if daddy Trump says so? 🤔 Indeed.

is intel in financial crisis or something?
I didn't know basic infrastructure was socialism. Those darn socialists and their roads. Like we need public roads. Stop subsidizing roads. The military reeks of socialism too. We should only have private armies and masked private security. The whole human rights thing is a socialist giveaway. Like we all need rights... pfft.

yes. they tanked as AMD went up like 1000%. Intel has major troubles on both its metal refinery whatever half of the company and its cpu half. America definitely needs an in house cpu / semi conductor industry. Taiwan is sketch as ****.

There is no conservatism or socialism in US now, just the steady drift towards crony capitalism and oligarchy.

That's pretty much how it is. I've already seen so many MAGA Republicans I've talked to defending socialism because Trump is doing it.

They are lost causes.
