If they forced you to drink the koolaide would you?

I just got done watching the Jim Jones documentary about the cult that he led back in the late 1970's. I forgot how many died. It was a lot. At the end they forced the people there to drink a koolaide mix of poison and punch. It was horrible.

if I was there I would knock those crazy people out and run! RUN! I'd knuckle up.

Why didn't do that

The people were forced to drink the poison at gun point.

Of course we would know precisely what to do to survive and would perform amazing heroic acts to save everyone if we were caught in a deadly situation that we would only truly understand decades ahead in hindsight.

The keyword here is "forced" as in, no choice.
