Corenswet Is Angry He Made "Only" $750k as Superman
This is a great example of why actors are paid too much. He actually believes that $750k wasn't enough money.

Dude worked for 5 months. That was all. Getting free private housing. As well as all the free food he could possibly want. Probably got a free driver and personal security, too. I'd bet he had multiple times in which he'd have an entire week off.

Compare that to 5 months of working minimum wage. 40 hours per week. Let's be generous and say that's $15/hour.

You aren't getting free food, security, housing, or a driver. That's all stuff you gotta pay for.

Typical month will have 4 payment days. About 4 weeks. 4 x 40 x 15 = $2400. Then another x5 for five months. $12,000. But then you gotta pay taxes and all sorts of other expenses. (Such as food, gas and rent.) Which is going to be a huge chunk of your income. Five months of rent is going to be at least $2500. Food will be around $1000. Energy bill will be over $1000. Everything related to a car is going to cost at least $350. Taxes will take well over $2000.

That's works out to around less than $1k per month of work. Hard work.

But this entitled actor thinks that $150k/month is just too little. Whose only job is to stand around and talk. Are you serious bro?

I always thought it was weird that actors get paid what they do, while their stunt people are paid much less.

I havent watched the new one.

But a google search says it grossed 346,955,745$ so far. The main actor didnt even get 1 million from it? Id be a bit salty too if im being honest.

You got the top stars getting way more than that for their roles.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson was paid approximately $50 million for his latest movie, Red One. This was a record-breaking fee-plus-buyout deal for Amazon's Red One, making it the largest such deal in streaming history and securing The Rock's position as Hollywood's highest-paid actor.

Now am I saying some new guy should be making as much as some vet, well no.

But thats quite the gap between 750,000 to 50,000,000.

Superman has always been a huge seller too.

Maybe next time he shouldnt accept the offer if he thinks it is to low. Its pretty standard to ask for more only to get replaced by someone who can do it cheaper lmao.

you don't know if he lives in a mansion, you don't know if it's rented or he's in mortgage debt
750k is alot for normal to low income people but for the industry and how much the movie generated and how much the higher ups got yeah it is small since he is the star of the movie
you talk as if acting is easy as if people don't dedicate their lives from birth to it and some don't die because they pushed themselves too hard, that's like saying being an athlete is just doing excercise uwu
Someone doesn't understand how different jobs are paid.

This year a company I worked for made $14 billion in profit. I was paid $7/hour.

By your logic, I should have been paid at least $1 million per year.

You don't understand how money works.

The hardest working people. Workers in the industry service such as waiters, waitresses. people who work on your lawns, on your roofs, etc. People who dig ditches get paid the least and work the hardest because THEY ARE LOW SKILLED LABOR.

Doctors, and especially surgeons. Dentist. These people are paid extremely well because THEY ARE HIGHLY SKILLED. And so, their skill level reflects their pay grade.

As for actors, and rock, rap stars. And spots stars like the NBA and NFL. These people are paid very well. The 0.0001% like Lebron James who is a billionaire is because HE FILLS SEATS WHICH THE FANS: THEY BUY THE LEBRON JERSEY, THE TICKETS FOR THE GAMES, AND WATCH ON THEIR TVS, COMPUTERS AND PHONES! The owner makes billions and passes that onto Lebron who brings in the fans.

As others have stated, being an actor is extremely hard. Have you ever been to LA? Every 4th person is a wannabe actor, actress or model. Its highly competitive. And it takes a TON of luck. Most people do not make it. Not even close.

If its so easy and millions await. Why don't you go and become a movie star.
