Politics of Spain
It is one big mess. It's pretty much incomprehensible.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Politics_of_Spain

They have a monarch. Which is technically the leader. Except not quite. Because they have a Prime Minister. Which is also President. (Yes, I am as confused as you are.)

The short version is that almost everyone in Spain is a socialist. Catholics (Once a dominate force in Spain for hundreds of years.) Are now shunned and ignored.

They turned their backs on generations of hard-working people. To embrace socialism. What did it get them? A failing economy. People desperate to leave.

This parallels what most of the western world is going through. Socialism should be about uplifting the disadvantaged. Not dragging everyone down to the same level.

So bad no amount of children their women have will fix it because they have so few left that can have children.

Play socialist games, win socialist prizes.

Spain should have concentrated on not voting in people who prioritize attempting to break treaties and harassing people trying to get to work.
But there ya go.

You're overcomplicating it, OP.

The king is just a figurehead (Mostly like the King of England and every other modern western monarchy) Not that complicated at all

(Ironically the King was an imposition of our former fascist dictator to try extend his dictatorship beyond his death. Formerly Spain was a republic. And there's an active push for bringing the old republic back)

You're wrong on most of spaniards being socialists. You just need to see the composition of our Parliament. The conservative party got the most votes last election, but failed to get enough agreements to form goverment.

I suggest you to visit Spain in easter and see for yourself if catholics are shunned and ignored. Catholic church is actually partially financed by the state.

The economy isn't failing, but quite the contrary. Minimum wages have increased under socialist goverment more than after decades of conservative ones. We're still too over reliant on the tourism.

Spain is the fastest-growing major economy in the EU, experiencing robust GDP growth of 3.2% in 2024 and a forecast of 2.5% for 2025, far outpacing sluggish growth in countries like France, Germany, and Italy. This success is fueled by a booming tourism sector, strong domestic consumption, rising private investment, and growth in high-value services like technology and finance. A resilient services sector, foreign immigration, and strategic policies have also contributed to Spain's strong economic momentum.

I heard Spain has the best economy in Europe.

In fact now that i look i am seeing other posters stating something to that sort.

Nothing wrong with trying different economies, and seeing what works best. It may do us some good here in the states.

This is true.

"Spain was the world's fastest-growing major developed economy in 2024, contributing about half of the overall growth in the euro area while representing only a tenth of its GDP."

Whatever "socialism" they have over there, it has certainly not tanked their economy. Spain is currently the economic powerhouse in Europe.

I'd prefer not to be in an extended power outage, attacked by migrants, or become a steroid addict.

People born there seem like bitter, miserable people for the most part.
