SEGA!
Whats your favorite Sega memory? Best series? Best game? Favorites?

Sega was the start of something wonderful (back in the day)... I have many very fond memories.

They made an incredible series in the "Road Rash" collection.

Tons of EA greats too.

But the number 1 game from Sega was "Outlander" imho

So whats your favorites???

I love the Mega Drive!

I love Sonic 1, Golden Axe 1, Landstalker...

I also love Sonic Unleashed and Sonic & Sega All stars racing!

And Sonic 3&K is great too. Sonic 1 is even better imo, it is the best, but S3&K is a great game anyway.

I think that the Sega Saturn had a huge potential and if only it was marketed and supported in a better way I could see it becoming much better than even the Playstation 1! I am so sad that it didn't happen.

Nights is a very cool concept. It is flawed probably but it was a very nice novelty.

Ristar was another very good game too. Maybe a bit too frustrating but very nice and interesting. I like how they took inspiration both from it and from Sonic games for Sonic Unleashed.

Golden Axe 2 and 3 are very good too!

There were also many interesting and fun games on the Mega Drive even from third party developers and some of them had amazing graphics. Take Misadventures of Flink for example, it is just gorgeous to look at.

Lotus 2 RECS "could" be my favourite 16 bit racing game ever but I have played it on the Amiga (on the Amiga it is called Lotus 3 instead of Lotus 2, lol... anyway...) and they just converted graphics and music in the worst way possible, leaving out everything they could not convert 1:1 in the most straightforward way. Which makes it look and sound very disappointing compared to the original Amiga version even if I love the exclusive beach stage (the stage that was on the Amiga version instead of it sucked imo)

Despitye how much I love the Mega Drive and how much respect and admiration I have for the Saturn I really hate the Dreamcast. Dreamcast is one of the most unlikable and unenjoyable consoles ever made imo.

I have a very good opinion of Sega thanks to the Mega Drive and expecially thanks to Sonic 1 and Golden axe 1 that were absolutely legendary when I was a kid and had a huge impact on me even if back then I did not have a Mega Drive, but if we talk anout the Dreamcast I have only extremely bad opinions about it.
Shining in the Darkness was a great dungeon crawler and gridder.

Shining force was excellent tactical turn based.

They both solidified the types of games I would seek out for a number of years.
i'm still looking for a battery cover for my Sega CDX...

The Road rash game I like the most is the 1st one!
Its graphics somehow are much more enjoyable than in RR2 and RR3. It feels more varied and more atmospheric and immersive somehow imo. I really like it a lot!
I praise whoever managed to finish Phantasy Star 2 without a guide, I played it on the PS2 Genesis Collection and I gave up at the first dungeon. Whoever decided to add that visual overlay on top with pipes is just straight up evil.

I have a cartridge of Outlander somewhere. It was supposed to be a Mad Max game but they couldn't get the licensing so they changed a few things to rebrand it.

The Lost Vikings. Had this football game, I always chose tampa bay dolphins perhaps due to to ecco the dolphin, but I liked the turquoise. Had this tiny television, tuning and color adjustment knobs on the side, pull out on the volume control iirc to turn it on. Kind of wish I still had it.

I got quite far with Phantasy Star 4, but then I took a long break and forgot where to go.
