DayZ or H1Z1 (or Rust)?
I'm debating on which to buy: DayZ or H1Z1 or Rust. Which should I get? I know Rust is a bit different from the other two but it looks nice too. DayZ costs a bit more but H1Z1 will probably be free when it comes out of Early Access. Suggestions?

They're all bad
I havent played Rust but ive heard its bad...

DayZ is fun, its currently in a bit of a loophole right now with a few glitches and the loot spawning is really weird, its playable but still buggy. You can buy it now and I dont think you would regret it: just remember its early access

H1Z1 I cant really say, as I could never connect to a server except one time where I lagged terribly. I believe there are tons of hackers, but that may be fixed.

277 hours on dayz, and I dont know why. It has a unique novelty to the gameplay, it has the spark of something great but does not deliver at all. dayz is utter garbage for a game in development since 2012 that uses assets mainly from ArmA 2.

Yeah I've heard DayZ been in development for quite a long time and still not full release (or however you call it) yet.

Dayz hasn't been in development for that long of a time. It takes 3-5 years to develop a video game. There are just a lot of people that do not understand that.

It has been in development since 2012 that is a long time. Also the game was not being built from the ground up, taking many assets including the biggest one (the game's world) straight out of ArmA 2. It is literally copy and pasted from ArmA, all they have done is add stuff to the map with other assets already from ArmA. You do realize in the 90's people made games in like 6 months right? Sure its not comparable to today, but it comes down to talent. In the amount of time bohemia has spent on Dayz Rockstar could finish GTA V and Bethesda could finish fallout 4 both games being far more complicated than Dayz. Also with the revenue Dayz has generated and the expansion of its studio Dayz cannot be considered a low budget game anymore.

Simply put: Dayz is garbage because the developers just are not that good. Any other decent developer would have finished this game by now, especially if they are reusing stuff from a previous game and a previous mod to say the least.

It takes 6 years for Bethesda to do a Fallout or Elder Scrolls game. It takes 5 or 6 for Rockstar to do a GTA. There is no such thing as 'copy-paste' in game development. I say thta as someone who has experience coding. Everything takes time. Games in the 90's were nowhere near the complexity of the games today in terms of engines and graphics.

Yea...they are using the old Arma engine...which is unwieldy and buggy...always has been. It isn't an easy engine to work with. Don't try to say that 3 years is 'long enough' when you have no experience coding one of these things. COD gets coded in 3 years...and that game is far more simple.

People are just mad because it isn't done yet. They get mad about bugs...they get mad that the game isn't done. If the game gets delayed...they get mad at that. But they can't release the game buggy either or they are mad about that too. People get mad about everything...that is why I can't pay attention to a lot of gamers....they complain to complain and nothing more.

And this is all coming from someone who doesn't even like DayZ. It is nothing but "Troll- The Game".

They're all bad, my friend. The community ruins any possible speck of fun you can have in it.

I recommend H1Z1. Fastest updates. Highest potential.
