#KillWindows: A movement dedicated to removing Windows support
#KillWindows started out as a movement in the TF2 community to remove Windows support from the game. As #KillWindows grows larger, so does its scope. It aims to remove Windows support from games, encouraging gamers to play on GNU/Linux based operating systems instead. It is a movement that proposes a solution to the dominance of Microsoft and the worsening of Windows as a platform. #KIllWindows advocates for playing games exclusively on GNU/Linux, to the point where developers won't even consider Windows an option anymore.

Together, we can make a difference and end Microsoft's stranglehold on PC gaming. What do you think?

Microsoft doesn't have a stranglehold on PC gaming.

You can game on Linux just fine and switching is super easy, barely an inconvenience.

What about older games though? I remember hearing all the time how linux had issues. Perhaps running them inside a virtual machine would work, but wouldn't that be a lot of the hassle?

I would like to see more games that native support Linux and other OS, and to use Vulkan (or OpenGL) instead of DirectX.

But to scrap Windows support? No not yet...
I agree

Obama installed spyware on my PC
This is an example of shooting yourself in the foot.

Yes, competition is needed. Yes, Windows is making terrible decisions.

However, progress through destruction from my experience has never worked out well.

Why not just make the better environment instead of attacking Windows?

Why not #BetterGaming instead of #KillWindows

For example....
Those are dumb people. There won't be a operating system that will replace Windows. Maybe 50 years later. Why should people use Linux.
Moved on from the TF2 forums I see.

All you're doing is giving Linux a bad name.

As much as I want to see Windows crash, OS exclusivities would just plain sucks and I'm skeptical about its effectiveness.
Just watch consoles.

Sounds like a "play stupid games, win stupid prizes" type thing.

I'll pass.

Why don't you make an OS to see if you can better them? Now that would impress me.
