Dragon Language : Open Source or Copyrighted?
Hi Guys,

I am about to get a tattoo using the Dragon Language script and was thinking to use the same language to write my company name and copyright a logo using the words. Is it legal to do so?

I tried looking over the net related to whether the Dragon language script is copyrighted by Bethesda or open source to use but had no luck.

Thanks in advance!

Go to the Government registrar, maybe check some websites for United Nations Treaties, and check yourself. :D

Dear lawyers of off topic:
I was wondering whether a thing from a copyrighted videogame is copyrighted. How can I figure this out?

Yours, etc.

Go to your local Walmart and buy a box of twinkies.

Yours, Lawyer.

Well, if you remember the language used in Avatar was released in public domain from what I read in one of the FX magazines articles. Which made me wonder. Of course I'm not expecting an expert opinion but was just looking for a friendly advice or direction. I'm saying this because I sensed a little sarcasm in your reply mate. If not, pardon me. Have a nice day!
Yes it's copyrighted. If you're making any money off of it, I'm unsure that you'll be allowed to use it.

Thanks guys for your response. With all I could gather from the replies I rather hire a lawyer and ask him find it out for me or just drop the whole idea of using the script. I'll just get a tattoo and get done with it. Hope they done come running to scratch it off my skin at the end.

Love the script though. Looks a bit more Arabic kinds. Anyways, I rather stick with English. :)

Didn't this become an issue with the Elven language in LOTR?

no; they stole the beta version of a linguistic script the authors were working on, and legally got around it by not copyrighting or involving the script with their trademark.

go wild, but keep in mind the foundational illegality of our society itself.
