Castlevania LOS, my backstory as a green as grass PC gamer, and PC gaming in general

Are there any forums on Castlevania Lords of Shadow? Every time I click on the community hub I get rerouted back to the store page. Is this just me or am I missing something. I am fairly new to the Steam community and maybe I am unfamiliar to PC crossovers that are released on Steam.
Anyways... I have been dying to play this game for a long time. I have been out of the Gaming Community (console or PC) for quite some time. A horrible divorce, a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ job, and other personal reasons have unfortunately kept me from enjoying videogames. Only recently have I been able to get back in the groove. I quit my ♥♥♥♥♥♥ job, went back to school for graphic design/retail marketing (I am going to design athletic aparrel such as shoes, uniforms, hats, footbal helmets, and anything else that has to do with sports). Currently I have a contract with Adidas and I have managed to start my own clothing brand (502True Elite... Zazzle.com/502trueforyou*) All of this thanks to going back to school. One of my school projects was to build a computer capable of doing all of the things that my course of study calls for such as rendering 3D models, CAD design and so on. Before I knew it I had a badass gaming machine. I didn't even realize it because I was so burried in my schoolwork. Before all of this happened... back in the day as I like to call it, I was a console gamer who wanted to crossover to PC but couldn't afford it. Everybody said it was not that expensive to build a good gaming machine, but I knew otherwise. At the time I was an electronics lead at Staples and I knew that if you wanted a good gaming computer, you had to spend some serious cash. So I just bit the bullit and played console games. I had a computer that I could play games on, but not the way I wanted to. My budget was limited, so console was definately the way to go. Then my wife had an affair (blamed it on my job... I was never home) and my life went to ♥♥♥♥. I had to put everything on hold. I went into a deep depression and slowly life as I knew it really sucked. Fast forward 10 years and now I can finally play PC games the way I want to.
I have been a Castlevania fan ever since the first one on the NES. Simons Quest blew my mind, and Castlevania 3 was also a great game which took the franchise into a slightly different direction. After that the franchise (for me anyways) went into a slump. Despite a few decent games on the Nintendo DS and a good one on the Super Nintendo I wasn't happy with the Belmont Clan. Then I built my PC, signed up for Steam and watched the Lords of Shadow trailer. My heart stopped. I have been waiting for Konami to finally take Castlevania and squeeze all of it's potential, guts and glory into a rectifiable cinematic debut of a game. Now that it is here I can hardly wait to push play. As I was waiting for the game to release I have been thoroughly enjoying Steam and everything that it has to offer. I can't believe the sales that have taken place. I know my Library is not that big compared to most hardcore Steamers, but it is huge for me. With school and my business it is hard for me to keep up with what I have, but I am loving every bit of it. I absolutely love PC gaming and wish that developers and producers paid a bit more attention to us. Since I switched over I have noticed that PC gamers are considered a small breed in the cooperate world. I walk into Gamestop, Best Buy or anyplace else and the PC section is very small and minute if not there at all. This pisses me off. PC's offer a way better gaming expierence in my opinion than a silly console. Don't get me wrong, I have a PS3 and I will be getting a PS4, but that is because there are franchises that I have come to enjoy that are Sony exclusive. I still would rather play those games on the PC though, but it's never gonna happen. The console market is just too damn big and makes sooo much money. I just love the PC expierence of building your own machine to your own liking, stepping back, looking at what you built and telling yourself that you did that and it is freaking silly ridiculous! I also like bringing a friend or two over, pulling up Far Cry 3 on the big screen and asking them... does your Xbox or PS3 look like that? They just can't believe it. Then I tell them that I built it myself. Then I get the "WOW, you mean I can do that? I say of course you can, all you need is about $1,500-$2,000! Then I get the, ahh man. Now I'm not rich or wealthy... not even close. I am only average as far as a yearly salary goes. I just know how to save and live off of cereal and bologna until I have enough for what I am saving for. Some people can do it and some people can't. But I like gaming soooo much that I will starve myself for weeks to play a good game. The only thing I dislike about PC gaming is the technology and how fast it moves. My top of the line PC may be at the top of the list today but tomorrow it may be off the list completely. Keeping up is the hardest thing, but then again it's kinda fun. My system isn't a crazy SLI monster, but it gets the job done and I have never been hapier. If you are reading this and want a decent friend who is down to earth, send me a request. So far I have yet to get in a game with anybody, but thats because I am very busy with school and the business. I am really looking forward to Tom Clancy: The Division and that is when I plan on really digging in and doing some co-op. I just recently went to the website and watched the gameplay footage and was blown away. That game is gonna call for a SERIOUS gaming machine. I am currently in the process of building one just for that game (I got the case in today). Since the game is gonna be a while before it's released, it gives me plenty of time to build my machine. I am gonna do it gradually. Next week I am gonna get the Power Supply and after that the motherboard and so on. My case supports ATX boards... anyone got any suggestions as far as board/processor combos. I prefer AMD, but if anyone can talk me into INTEL, go for it. (It is gonna be hard to talk me into INTEL, many have tried before, but I am always game for good suggestions) I am always looking for really in depth rpg games with a moving story and a lot of rich content (story matters... BIG TIME) such as Skyrim (I played the hell out of it on my PS3 otherwise I would have it on my PC) and The Witcher (I have that game and I am getting ready to really dig into it), I also like FPS or 3rd person shooters like Far Cry, Deus X, or The Division, so if anyone has any suggestions I am very open. Like I said I have been out of the game for a minute and I really don't know what is out there, I just know a little of what is a really big market. Regarding RPGs: There are many more, but I always like to recommend Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines.

DAMN that's a long post. What those guys said above.

If you're lookin for an AMD/Mobo combo solely for gaming (no production work), then I'd say a high-clocked quad-core like an AMD FX-4350 4.2Ghz Quad or up the bucks a few for a 6-core.

As for motherboard, there is a humongous selection so it's nearly preference. Usually I stay with ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte, or ASRock. Currently I have an ASUS M5A97 I bought a few years ago for about $100 and it has served me well through 2 core upgrades. There's a much newer version with the same model number that rocks. Up the cash for an EVO, Crosshair, or Sabertooth board.

As for video game suggestions, I'd recommend Payday 2 and/or Saint's Row IV for coop. I just recently began to replay Tomb Raider (the reboot) which has been fairly fun. Although, if you haven't purchased a video card yet, I'm pretty sure you can get it for free with a Radeon 7900 series purchase. Borderlands 2 is AWESOME for coop mayhem. If you like racing, Need for Speed: Shift (2 unleashed) is a great semi-arcade/realism racer, GRID 2 and Ridge Racer Unbounded are arcade crazy. Most hardcore racing sims are off steam, or I haven't played them. If you want a slightly more casual game, Torchlight II is great fun, coop or singleplayer. Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light are massively atmosphere single-player games. Sleeping Dogs is also a single-player game (Can probably get this game free with Radeon purchase as well).

I have like a bajillion indie games on my steam list so I can't possibly look through all of them. Torchlight and Payday are the only 'indie' games that I mentioned.
