How popular does a thread have to be to become pinned
Just curious, tried to get my corrupt a wish in both forums pinned for easier access to ppl, but never happens. I mean is it based off of popularity or something?

I believe it's how important it is.
I suggest not getting your hopes up for getting any posts pinned though

It's usually based on usefulness of information in the thread, but in the off topic example here it's not an information thread.

That sticky, though, was given such status because many people seem to create threads asking about what you're listening to, your favourite piece of music and etc, so by having a sticky it helps to keep those threads down while also giving people the ability to say "Check the sticky". :)

awww that sucks then, having a sticky for corrupt a wish would rock so that there's a constant steam of corruption. Less fun when you make a wish but it takes a week for someone to corrupt it

I'm sure that would make the game less fun, but if Corrupt a Wish got stickied then so would many other "forum games" and before we know it the whole Off Topic Page 1 will be stickies of forum games!...

I am surprised "corrupt a wish" topics has not been locked because its a forum game. In Steam forums games were locked or deleted. If games are now permitted, its unlikely they would ever be pinned because very few topics meet the critira of being pinned, and its more than just popularity. Topics get pinned partly because the topic is duplicated almost on daily basis. The good news is that if a game is popular it will always be on the first page anyway, thus no need to be pinned.

More popular than popular... or not quite popular enough?

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
