I found a bug when I am a corps/small Army commander. I hit promote for one of my subordinates and I get promoted. In one game I went from MG to LT.Gen to General, but did not receive any benefit like being named commander and chief. So first I was not at the level to be promoted to those ranks and because I got no benefit I assume it is a bug.
