Can't connect to server using public IP
I'm running Ubuntu 14.04.5 LTS, and I followed this guide to download/set everything up: https://www.linode.com/docs/applications/game-servers/launch-a-counter-strike-global-offensive-server-on-ubuntu-14-04

My iptables look correct, and I can even see my server successfully using https://steamhost.cn/api_steampowered_com/ISteamApps/GetServersAtAddress/v0001?addr=, so I don't know if it's a firewall issue.

I can also see this in the console "Logging into Steam gameserver account with logon token '57637D12xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx'
Connection to Steam servers successful.
Public IP is My.Servers.IP."

What could the issue be? I've tried connecting via the console, and adding to favorites. No luck. :steamsad: :steamsalty:

Post your iptables.
Is this server a real public server or is it running in a private LAN behind a NAT router?

My bad, I'd added the Steam rules after the "drop all other incoming requests" rules. :steamfacepalm: It's working now.

i looked at your ubuntu guide on linode that seemed alot different than on mine. i used debian and picked marketplace pre configured installation from linode.
