Linux server for windows pc?
Hi, I want to build a pc to serve as a dedicated server for LAN parties. I intend to use SteamCMD for this. I am hesitating however which OS I should choose. I want to put Linux (probably Ubuntu) on it, but that raised a question. If the server runs on Linux, are my friends (which almost all have Windows laptops) still able to connect to the server? Or does the difference in OS present any issues?
Thank you for your help!

Same.
Using for many years to host game servers.
The OS is so good, it runs faster on virtualized linux than windows itself.
