Update trouble
I get:
Console: "Server is running an older version, client version 13810, server version 13809"
When connecting. - I've done all in steamcmd: app_update 740 (and -validation states that the server is up to date) - I run it on a virtual boot and it has been running like a dream on an ubuntu 18.04 boot.

Any surgesstions?

Best

I haven't updated the source server for quite some time now (at least 3 months), never had a problem. There might be some warnings in the log, but I'm not aware of a crucial issue.

Why isn't the server becoming version: 13810 when I update it?

Did you restart your server? And if yes, how?

I suspect you've got not a lot of experience with Linux, that's why I'm asking...

You are absolutely right .. I was unaware that I needed to set the force_install_dir before updating the dedicated server install. - I got dual installs when trying to update ..

Well got it up again ... Now I'm confronted with:

#Valve_Reject_Connect_From_Lobby

WTF .. Why is this so hard. :-( ...

Thanks

Did you fix it? Can you share the command line you're using to start the server?
