Not sure what's happened, but my mvm servers don't work right anymore with matchmaking. #1 People get a prompt when the matchmaking service connects them to my server. They can either rejoin or abandon. Can't play the damn game. #2, After an matchmaking session attempts to start, nobody can connect to the server ad-hoc. Perhaps that was by design in a recent change. I can see valve made changed some cfg files that get executed and override my tf_mm_strict setting. ???
