I can't connect my own server with my public IP. Both PCs are behind the same router.
Hello,
I'm simply having an issue connecting my own csgo dedicated linux server with external IP address. I can only connect to server with my internal IP starting 192.168... Both the server and Pc are behind the same router doing NAT. Ports are forwarded correctly 27015 tcp&udp. I have tried almost everything. But players from internet can join the server with no problem. What might be the problem? My Router is huawei hg8245h.

Some routers dont loopback from external ip, cant you connect using internal ip?

But in fact I could. I can connect my ssh server with my external ip. All I had to do was to forward certain port in Router and make a firewall rule for ssh. This seems more like a dedicated server issue than a Router loopback issue.

from your LAN you can not join your public IP address, use LAN IP instead. If you use domain name on the the public IP, override internal DNS to resolve to LAN IP Address.
