No chat on my server?!

Hi,
I've launched a new server a few days ago but it's impossible to open the chat window on it. Does anybody have an idea about it?

Is your server a dedicated server? Dedicated servers don't really have chat windows. However you can use commands in the main console to send stuff to chat like, sm_say "Something you want to say." Otherwise just get on a client and connect to your server that way.

Yes my server is a dedicated one, but on all other servers I've visited (dedicated or steam), I've always been able to chat by pressing the "enter" key..That's pretty weird...

All valve games i know, you must type "say".
