HELP..... Whenever i use HLDS to make a server. the servers ip is the private ip instead of the WAN ip
Soooo. for the past two months i've been trying to create a half life server with HLDS but i keep getting a problem and it is that whenever I turn on the HLDS and configure the server and hit enter, the server starts but the IP address is the ipv4 address and not the public address.

And heres the link to my ipv4 address information :https://imgur.com/a/T6oLi
Additional info:I uploaded my server to gametracker and they said that the server is really online and they gave out an IP which had my WAN ip in it . What i'm trying to say is that when i start HLDS, it gives me an IP like this (IPV4 adress):27018 but when i upload server on gametracker it gives me (public IP):127018. And whenever i give any of my friends the (public IP):27018 IP, they can't join it. HELP PLZ and quick.... :steamhappy:

The ip setup is fine and as it should be. The server will always run on your local lan ip address. But to be able to reach it players need to connect to your public ip address.
To allow players to connect to your server you need a proper portforwarding. In your case you need to forward UDP 27018 to 192.168.1.22
You also need to make sure that no firewall is blocking this traffic (check your router and your PC).

no, it does not need static ip.
however, if you ip change, you will need to reconfigure the port forwarding

You are hosting and playing on the same machine?
Probably something is wrong on you config, you need port forwarding for the people outside, you should be able to connect with no issues

If are inside your network, you should be able to connect, if you cant, something is wrong there.
