Lighting went dark Portal Authiring Tools Beta... Please help
I have built many maps just to learn the in and outs of map building. As you most likely know you need no lighting until you use something that has a light in it such as an "instance" after that you need to put lighting in. Lighting is the thing I have the least experiance with. So here is what happened. I am on my third room for a large map that I am building for publishing I build each room sepritly to avoid a long compile for testing out the room. After adding an instance I had to through up some lights to finish the map. That worked fine, then out of the blue when I was about to compleat the map the lights went dark. The only way I can get light is to hide or delete all light sorces. now when I complie for testing I noticed this in the console after "buildface lights" and "buildvisleafs" it lists
" gathering light: 0...1...2...3...4...5...6...7...8...9...10 (0)
Bounce #1 added RGB(1, 1, 1)"
and does this to #100 then it does a few more things and does it all over again before finishing the compile. this will happen weather the lights are hidden/deleted or not. Can anyone tell me how to fix this issue?

you might want to run your compile log through the error checker on interlopers.net ... http://www.interlopers.net/errors/ ... you might be suffering from a leak or some other undetermined random thing.

i hope you made back-ups of your map :)

No, no back ups but I copied the entire map and that solved the problem how ever some props have disapeared. They are there when you are editing but not when the map is runnung. But I would say that indicates there was no leak. Also the issue did not follow the copy. I would like the old map back but if I have to fix the missing parts of the copy I will. Thank you for your input I will check out the link.
