Is Blender the best custom entity designer?
I've considered adding custom entities to my mods and maps, and I have played with blender, but I was curious to know if Blender is the best, easiest, and most straight foward way to do this. I know there a lot of file conversions to get it into source, but that seems a lot better than some alternatives. Please post what you know!

Do you mean props? Entities are something completely nonmodeling related

I hear good things about blender, I'm personally not a fan of the interface. As long as you can get it to export .smd files you should be fine.

I've tried to use it, but I'm in the same boat, I am not a fan of the interface which si wh yi was curious, I prefer tabs for my tools rather than spread across each border of the program like wild. But from what I've seen it is the easiest, so I think I'll just try to get used to it. Thanks.
if you are student and you can registrer to autodesk students portal i advice you that you should use Maya, that is for me the best software for props, weapons, creatures, actors creation process.

yeah, i'd say blender is pretty far from "easiest" and generally because of its "friendly" interface. i prefer modo, even basic skills are enought to model things. for maya, my wife did some decent stuff in five days she started learning. but in front of blender we both gave up, this is not for human brains. hell, even lw interface and tools behave are not so alien, just raw.
