"FRIENDS NETWORK UNREACHABLE" For Mac..?
Okay I'm about to throw my ♥♥♥♥♥♥ laptop out the window. I've never once written in any sort of support forum but this is ridiculous. For weeks I'm unable to play with my friends because of the "friends network unreachable" error, along with "steam auto update" popping up constantly with the same update that I guess never gets installed?? I don't know how to fix either of these issues. There's no target to put flags in on Mac, at least not that i cant find, so the "-nochatui -nofriendsui" stuff doesn't work. I can't even contact steam because their support system is so garbage it's unbelievable. For the love of god help me before I break something :steamsalty:

Hey I'm on the same boat with you. I havent been on steam in like three months and started it up a week ago. Every time its the same thing : friends network unreachable. I've done every update to steam and nothing. Beta on and off. Nothing. I'm dying.

Its the chat ui. Close out of Steam and use mac terminal app to relaunch Steam. use this command:

/Applications/Steam.app/Contents/MacOS/steam.sh -nochatui -nofriendsui

it boots up Steam without the chat ui and it should work OK

didnt worked out for me.it says it is unable to read what I write

Make sure you copy and paste the whole thing into terminal.
/Applications/Steam.app/Contents/MacOS/steam.sh -nochatui -nofriendsui

THANK YOU SO MUCH I DID IT AFTER 2 MONTHS. Fearktille you need to totally quit Steam before you do that on the terminal. Worked for me.

does that include/Applications/Steam.app/Contents/MacOS/steam.sh
and as soon as i click steam.sh to enter the code steam opens so i cant type iyt without steam being open
