Steam will not downloading update stuck at 0%: Possible Solution
I had the problem of steam not downloading the update for me. Just stuck at 0%. Here's what worked for me. Launch the steam app. It tries to install the update and gets stuck. Turn your wifi on your computer off. Steam will disconnect and my app closed after a warning message that I wasnt connected to the internet. I turned my wifi back on and launched the app again. The download should work then. Hope this helps someone. :)

I can't believe this worked. There is no reason why it should, but it does....

Worked, though mine didn't close when the wifi went off. Just stayed at 0 until I turned it back on and it went perfectly.

My first though was "No way that is going to work...", but it worked. Very glad I was wrong!
